uppsala sunset on my last night

Right now I’m on a late night train from Gothenburg to Varberg. Am a bit sleep deprived.

I’ve been on transport most the day returning from Uppsala. It makes me sad I won’t be seeing a lot of those friends for another few months, but I suppose distance makes the heart grow fonder.

FUTURE ALASKAN EXCHANGE STUDENTS: COMING SOON

Back in Alaska this time of year is the annual Rotary event where soon-to-be exchange students from around the state gather for orientation. This year is so important to me because one of my best friends was chosen as an exchange student and will be discovering what country is soon hers!!


A small part of the education process is an accumulation of videos from Alaskan exchange students were are still currently abroad. Most of us are halfway through our exchange now, so supposedly we’ve got it down ;)


This is the video I submitted. Believe it or not I took 79 different practice videos prior recording it twice with my friends in a public cafe. Needless to say I was very nervous about seeing my own face since it’s gotten a lot chubbier on exchange lol

Met some pretty tough Alaskans if I do say so myself



Tomorrow morning a friend from Malmö will be visiting me. Words can’t say how excited I am to see her. I just hope tonight’s rest will be plenty for me to have enough energy for my last few days with my first host family before I switch to the new one. I've been so busy this last month I haven't gotten to spend much time with them. I'm really going to miss the
