Swimming in Åre

At the end of the first day at camp, the leaders decided we were going to go swimming at a nearby lake. Swedish culture is bathing in a lake or ocean or sea every morning and every evening. “The right way to begin and end everyeah”. I wasn’t going to swim because I’m real self conscious and all that, but there were these really nice girls. One of them was real sweet to me. I felt comfortable around her so I jumped in with everyone. This cool lad from New Zealand brought Head and Shoulders so everyone “took a bath” together. It was cold as heck in the water. It even started raining. Northern Sweden gets real cold.
