On August 31st, the Åre campers hiked a tiring total of 9 miles. The view made it 100% worth it though. One lake looked almost as beautiful as glacier water back home. I made new friends and ate a lot of Swedish meatballs for lunch. There were a lot of hills we went over though so that made it hard. Luckily I’ve been going for runs every morning since I’ve been here and it really helps with the hiking. Makes me less sore too. The scenery was so beautiful that day. I loved all the trees and overgrown roots in the trail. The muskeg in Sweden has lots of red plants in it. It’s real pretty to look at. One of the exchange students in a real good photographer She took that one photo of me and actually made me look less gross and tired than usual. Everyone here is real nice. It’s a pleasant change. I’ve really enjoyed all the hiking and wilderness here this week.
